Bright Buzz, Feb 2017: What’s happening now? Next?

We’ve been busy! Since our January announcement, we continue to move Bright forward. 2017 is a year of transition for us, and we’re excited to meet some major milestones.

Development teams are hard at work mapping MLS listing data from nine different MLSs into one format; they are collecting the required public records for 150 jurisdictions, and building the new Bright MLS system—a broad ecosystem of robust property information and analytics to power our subscribers’ real estate business.

Support teams from Rockville, MD and King of Prussia, PA are combining into one unified Customer Support Center. In early April 2017, subscribers will be able to dial a new toll free phone number for assistance.

  1. Hello:

I am part of the MRIS network.

In my opinon, there is a HUGE deficiency where the assigned school district for a given area can not be highlighted with any precision.

In the mapping function, a district will be highlighted, but can not be saved as the Mapped Search. The only recourse is to “trace” the lines, and due to the irregularity of the districts, accuracy is dubious.

I find this embarrasing and frustrating, since many buyers make the School District in the top 3/5 requirements.

I hope this issue will be taken into consideration with future enhancements and development.

    Many thanks,

      Dan,

Thank you for your question. Schedules are still being finalized with each association. When those are finalized, we’ll share more information about the exact timing of the conversions.
